Prof. Sara Hassan A.Agwa

• She is the vice director of MASRI
• She is the director ISO- Accredited Molecular Genomic Unit
• Member of MASRI Board,
• Member of African Society for Laboratory Medicine ,
• Member of the Egyptian Society of Hematology and Oncology,
• Member of the Egyptian Society of Laboratory Medicine and
• Member of the Egyptian Society of Thrombosis and Hemostasis.
• Member of the BGICC faculty

Sara is the Principle investigator of the project of the academy of scientific research and technology (ASRT) under the name of: implementation of comprehensive molecular and next generation sequencing based genetic testing strategy to imrove and prevent fatal outcomes of coronary artery disease related to familiar hypercholesterolemia. (2018-2020), she is the Principal Collaborator of the project funded by NAMURU-3 in collaboration with WHO and CDC in a project titled SENTINEL SURVEILLANCE FOR SEVERE ACUTE RESPIRATORY ILLNESS (SARI) IN THE EASTERN MEDITERNIAN REGION(EMR). (2019-2022), she is also the principal Investigator of the STDF funded project : THE POWER OF TWO : NEXT GENERATION SEQUENCING AND BIOINFORMATICS IN TRANSCRIPTOMIC INTEGRATIVE ANALYSIS OF HEPATOCELLULAR CARCINOMA IN EGYPTIANS. Dr.Sara is sharing in other projects and is proposing other projects .

DR.Sara is supervising many research molecular theisis (masters , MDs, PHDs ) in faculty of medicine and scince. She has more than 65 nternational publications on SCOPUS. DR.SARA is the co-ordinator of Molecular research course OF MASRI for Breast- Gynecological & immunoncology International Cancer conference (BGICC) january 2019,2020, 2021 , 2022, 2023 , 2024 and 2025 and the coordinator of Molecular research course of MASRI for the International Gastrointestinal, liver & Uro_ Oncology conference (IGILUC)April 2019, 2020 ,2021, 2022. She was the director and coordinator of all hands on NGS workshops other Molecular Genomics Workshops held in MASRI
