Former Governor of Qena; Member of  the board of the Institute of National Planning

Dr. Khaled Abdelhalim worked for government as the Governor of Qena (2024-2026), advisor to the Minister of Local Development (2010-2015 & 2017-2024). He also led international cooperation development programs supported by the World Bank (Upper Egypt Local Development), UNDP (decentralization and local governance) and GIZ (informal settlement upgrading). Dr Khaled also worked as a lecturer at Helwan University, a visiting assistant professor at AUC, and is currently teaching at the National Planning Institute. He has undertaken consultancies for many development partners.

عمل د. خالد عبد الحليم في الحكومة كمحافظ لقنا (2024–2026)، ومستشارًا لوزير التنمية المحلية (2010–2015 و2017–2024). كما قاد برامج للتنمية والتعاون الدولي بدعم من البنك الدولي (برنامج التنمية المحلية بصعيد مصر)، وبرنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي (اللامركزية والحوكمة المحلية)، والوكالة الألمانية للتعاون الدولي (تطوير المناطق غير الرسمية) .كما عمل د. خالد محاضرًا بجامعة حلوان، وأستاذًا مساعدًا زائرًا بالجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة، ويقوم حاليًا بالتدريس بالمعهد القومي للتخطيط. وقد نفّذ العديد من الاستشارات لصالح شركاء التنمية
