Prof. Rasha Ismail is a Professor of Data Science and Knowledge Discovery and the Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University, Egypt. She manages the university’s digital presence and leads its digital transformation as Director of the Ain Shams University Portal and Management Systems. An accomplished researcher and leader, she has authored over 100 peer‑reviewed publications, supervised more than 20 master’s and 15 PhD students, and actively serves as a reviewer for international journals and conferences. She is the Editor‑in‑Chief of the International Journal of Intelligent Computing and Information Sciences (IJICIS) and Chair of the International Conference on Intelligent Computing and Information Systems (ICICIS).

Prof. Ismail has helped modernize curricula with credit‑hour programs, supported Ain Shams University in winning the Egypt Government Excellence Award (2022) for Best Distinguished Website in Delivering Government Services and the MOSAIC Competition, and contributed to multiple faculty and university awards, including top placements in 2020 and 2022 and a Top‑Ten ranking in 2024. She has been instrumental in institutional and program accreditation efforts, and her research spans Data Science, AI, Big Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Data Mining, Information Retrieval, Bioinformatics, and IoT. Her work in innovation, digital transformation, and academic quality establishes her as a leading figure in computing and information sciences.

أستاذة علم البيانات واكتشاف المعرفة، وعميدة كلية الحاسبات والمعلومات بجامعة عين شمس، مصر. تدير الحضور الرقمي للجامعة، وتقود مبادرات التحول الرقمي بصفتها مديرة بوابة وأنظمة إدارة جامعة عين شمس. وبصفتها باحثة وقائدة متميزة، نشرت أكثر من 100 ورقة علمية محكَّمة، وأشرفت على أكثر من 20 رسالة ماجستير و15 رسالة دكتوراه، وتشارك بفعالية في تحكيم المجلات والمؤتمرات الدولية. تشغل منصب رئيسة تحرير المجلة الدولية للحوسبة الذكية وعلوم المعلومات (IJICIS)، كما تتولى رئاسة المؤتمر الدولي للحوسبة الذكية ونظم المعلومات (ICICIS).

ساهمت في تحديث المناهج التعليمية من خلال برامج الساعات المعتمدة، ودعمت فوز جامعة عين شمس بجائزة التفوق الحكومي المصرية (2022) عن أفضل موقع متميز في تقديم الخدمات الحكومية، وفوزها في مسابقة MOSAIC للابتكار والبحث العلمي والتعاون مع الصناعة. كما ساهمت في حصول الكلية والجامعة على مراكز متقدمة (المركز الأول 2020، المركز الثالث 2022، والترتيب ضمن العشرة الأوائل 2024).

لعبت دورًا محوريًا في عمليات ضمان الجودة والاعتماد المؤسسي وبرامج الكلية. وتمتد اهتماماتها البحثية إلى علم البيانات، والذكاء الاصطناعي، وتحليلات البيانات الضخمة، وهندسة البرمجيات، وتنقيب البيانات، واسترجاع المعلومات، والمعلوماتية الحيوية، وإنترنت الأشياء .وقد جعلها تكرّسها للابتكار والتحول الرقمي والجودة الأكاديمية شخصيةً رائدةً في مجالات الحوسبة وعلوم المعلومات.
