Prof. Amr Elatraby

Prof. Amr Elatraby is a distinguished academic and leader in the field of applied statistics, with a career spanning over four decades in higher education, international academic diplomacy, and university administration. Throughout his career, Prof. Elatraby has held numerous academic and administrative positions. He currently serves as Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development at Badr University on Cairo (BUC), where he also served as Acting Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics (2020 to 2021). His longstanding affiliation with Ain Shams University includes serving as Dean of the Faculty of Business (2015-2017), as well as holding roles such as Head of the Department of Statistics, Mathematics, and Insurance, and General Coordinator of Student Activities.

Prof. Elatraby’s international experience includes key diplomatic roles as Egypt’s Cultural Counselor in Vienna (2017–2020), overseeing Egyptian students across Central Europe, and as Cultural Attaché in London (2002–2005), supervising students in the UK and Ireland. His contributions extended beyond education, fostering bilateral academic cooperation and organizing public events with prominent Egyptian figures. He has been a visiting professor at several U.S. institutions, including Alliant International University and San Diego State University, often through prestigious programs such as Fulbright and the USAID Cairo Initiative.

الأستاذ الدكتور عمرو الأتربي أكاديمي متميز ورائد في مجال الإحصاء التطبيقي، بخبرة تمتد لأكثر من أربعة عقود في التعليم العالي، والدبلوماسية الأكاديمية الدولية، وإدارة الجامعات. شغل الأستاذ الدكتور الأتربي خلال مسيرته المهنية العديد من المناصب الأكاديمية والإدارية. يشغل حاليًا منصب نائب الرئيس لشؤون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة بجامعة بدر، كما شغل أيضًا منصب القائم بأعمال عميد كلية إدارة الأعمال والاقتصاد (2020-2021). وتشمل خبراته الطويلة بجامعة عين شمس توليه منصب عميد كلية إدارة الأعمال (2015-2017)، بالإضافة إلى مناصب أخرى منها رئيس قسم الإحصاء والرياضيات والتأمين، والمنسق العام للأنشطة الطلابية.

تشمل خبرة البروفيسور الأتربي الدولية مناصب دبلوماسية رئيسية، حيث شغل منصب المستشار الثقافي لمصر في فيينا (2017-2020)، حيث أشرف على الطلاب المصريين في جميع أنحاء أوروبا الوسطى، ومنصب الملحق الثقافي في لندن (2002-2005)، حيث أشرف على الطلاب في المملكة المتحدة وأيرلندا. تجاوزت مساهماته التعليم، حيث عزز التعاون الأكاديمي الثنائي، ونظم فعاليات عامة مع شخصيات مصرية بارزة. عمل أستاذًا زائرًا في العديد من المؤسسات الأمريكية، بما في ذلك جامعة أليانت الدولية وجامعة ولاية سان دييغو، على سبيل المثال من خلال برنامج فولبرايت ومبادرة الوكالة الأمريكية للتنمية الدولية في القاهرة.
