Prof. Camelia Sobhi
Prof. Camelia Sobhi is an Emeritus Professor of Translation at the Department of French Language - Faculty of Languages (Al-Alsun). She currently serves as a senator in the Commission of Teaching, scientific research, communication and information technology (MEMBER OF THE EGYPTIAN SENATE – 2020/2025). She also is a Member of the Board of Trustees of French University in Egypt.
She has held several key administrative positions, including:
- Cultural Attaché followed by the Cultural Counsellor in the Egyptian Embassy in Paris (2005 – 2011).
- Head of the Central Administration of Committees at the Higher Council of Culture.
- Secretary-General of the Higher Council for Culture Head of the National Translation Centre.
- Head of the Foreign cultural Relations Sector in the Ministry of Culture (2011 – 2016).
- Head of the Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (2018 – 2020).
الأستاذ الدكتور كاميليا صبحي أستاذ الترجمة المتفرغ بقسم اللغة الفرنسية بكلية الألسن. تشغل حاليًا منصب عضو مجلس الشيوخ المصري في لجنة التعليم والبحث العلمي والاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات (2020/2025). وهي أيضًا عضو في مجلس أمناء الجامعة الفرنسية في مصر.
شغلت العديد من المناصب الإدارية الهامة، منها:
- ملحق ثقافي، ثم مستشار ثقافي في السفارة المصرية في باريس (2005-2011).
- رئيس الإدارة المركزية للشعب واللجان الثقافية بالمجلس الأعلى للثقافة.
- أمين عام المجلس الأعلى للثقافة.
- رئيس المركز القومي للترجمة.
- رئيس قطاع العلاقات الثقافية الخارجية بوزارة الثقافة (2011-2016).
- رئيس قطاع الشؤون الثقافية والبعثات بوزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي (2018-2020).
